President Trump has clearly shown why he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize!

BLOG

President Trump has achieved something that no other US President has ever come close to contemplating; agreeing to meet the leader of North Korea. The meeting has been scheduled for June 12th in Singapore. There have already been calls for Trump to receive the world-prestigious Nobel Peace Prize, and considering Former US President Obama did absolutely nothing and received this honour, Trump absolutely deserves it.

In march, President Trump amazed the globe by accepting an invitation to meet the North Korean leader. Considering throughout Trump’s Presidential campaign insults were hurled across each other, this was pretty amazing.

The North Korean leader and the South Korean President have also met this year, another event which has not happened in decades. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has visited Pyongyang to arrange the details of the historic meeting in June.

As if things couldn’t become any more historic, Kim Jong Un has recently decided to free 3 US detainees from prison as a gesture of kindness ahead of the summit. President Trump said the he “really thinks we have a very good chance of doing something very special”.

The South Korean certainly thinks President Trump should win the award, saying “President Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize. What we need is only peace”.

However, President Trump doesn’t just deserve the Nobel Peace Prize because of his stunning progress on North Korea. His unprecedented strong dedication and support for Israel is also something to be admired.

Israel is the only democratic regime in the whole of the Middle East, and Mr Trump’s commitment to one of its closest allies shows determination. The decision by the US government to move the US embassy back to Jerusalem is also a symbolic, and something which the last 3 Presidents promised to do but failed.

President Trump is certainly a controversial leader, but absolutely no one can criticise him for the progress he has made on North Korea. He is easily one of the most deserving Presidents ever to receive the world-famous honour called the Nobel Peace Prize.
